Solution Engineer

As an “added value” distributor, Kappa Data builds relationships with its partners and supports these IT integrators in developing and supporting their clients. In addition to product sales, Kappa Data offers a wide range of services such as training, configuration assistance, pre- and post-sales, and marketing support.

Kappa Data operates in Belgium, where its headquarters is located, as well as in the Netherlands (Utrecht), Poland, and France.

To catalyze its growth, Kappa Data is seeking a Solution Engineer to be part of our technical team.

You will work from the headquarters in Belgium; Kappa Data – Grote Steenweg 18, 9840 De Pinte but contribute to the strategy of the Kappa Data group.

 

What we expect you to do:

• Become a real technology and product expert
• Excel in customer focus and communication
• Perform installations and interventions in the Benelux region and beyond
• Keep up with new products and technologies
• Test more difficult setups in our lab environment
• Give training to customers using your own training material or use the vendor’s official trainings
• Document specific solutions for customers and fellow colleagues
• Bring your tests to life in the customer’s network
• Perform Proof of Concepts and be a founding father of new high tech projects
• Be the level 3 support engineer for the most advanced support tickets

Profile

• Education: Informatics Bachelor Degree or Master Degree (or something similar), or equal by experience
• Experience: Knowledge in networking and/or security solutions
• Ethernet Switching, IP routing protocols, NAT, QoS, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, Email Security, … has no secrets anymore
• Passionate about Networking/Security Technologies, interested in bits and bytes
• You feel comfortable in giving training sessions towards partners and end customers
• Analytical skills and smoothly applies procedures without any problem
• Good priority management, high level of pro activity and commitment
• Very good verbal and written mode of expression in English and Dutch, French is a plus.
• Team player and customer-oriented
• Motivated to invest in his/her career by self-learning
• Willingness to confirm his/her knowledge by obtaining required certification
