Extreme Campus Fabric – Management, 31/10/2024

Managing Extreme Networks’ Fabric Connect is the goal of the course. Students will receive a detailed explanation of fabric services and will configure them in the lab. The latest automation features will be covered, including auto-sense ports and self-forming fabric. To provide insight into the management products offered by Extreme, students will gain experience on-boarding switches to both ExtremeCloud™ IQ and the ExtremeCloud IQ-SE (Site Engine) campus solution. Classes will be proportionally supported with hands-on experience on Universal Hardware switches.

Audience

This course is designed for network administrators, engineers and integrators responsible for configuring and managing Extreme Networks Fabric Connect switches.

 

Requirements

This training builds on the knowledge gained in the “Extreme Fabric – Installation and Configuration” training. To be eligible for certification in this course, you must first have earned the certificate from the previous course. Students should have a good understanding of SPBM concepts and general switch management.

 

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will have acquired the operational knowledge to:

• Add/modify Fabric services and add devices to an existing Fabric Connect solution.
• Use the new automation features, including auto-sense and self-forming fabric.
• Understand Extreme’s management solutions: ExtremeCloud IQ and the campus solution ExtremeCloud IQ-SE (Site Engine), and successfully onboard and manage switches.
