Kappa Data is an official distributor (wholesaler) of IT security and networking solutions. As an “added value” distributor, Kappa Data builds relationships with its partners and assists these IT integrators in developing and supporting their customers. In addition to selling products, Kappa Data offers a wide range of services such as training, configuration assistance, pre- and post-sale and marketing support.

Kappa Data operates in Belgium, where its headquarters are located, as well as in the Netherlands (Utrecht), Poland and France.

To catalyse its growth, Kappa Data is looking for a Business Development Manager to work within the “Innovation Centre”.

You will work from the head office in Belgium; Kappa Data – Grote Steenweg 18, 9840 De Pinte but contribute to the strategy of the Kappa Data group.

 

Your fundamental goal is delineated but the way you implement it is flexible. You are creative and come up with imaginative proposals on your own. You work in a team where you are free to make and discuss dynamic and even challenging proposals.

  • You follow the trends in the market and help determine the direction Kappa Data can take. As part of the “Innovation Center”, you place Kappa Data in the driving force of its domain.
  • You keep abreast of the latest technical products and engage with the presales team to brainstorm around new Kappa Data-specific product development.
  • You are the link between the vendor and the internal business. You are responsible for aligning the expectations of both parties and turning them into a development path.
  • Together with the marketing team, you develop sales materials such as product data sheets, case studies and presentations that the sales team can use to inform prospects and close deals.

 

You will be responsible for several “brands/vendors” within which you will set up sales and marketing campaigns, to recruit new partners and grow existing ones

  • You get to know the partner landscape and can work in target groups in a targeted way.
  • You visit customers to test and optimise positioning by trial and error

 

You write content for our various online media channels

  • You always keep the information on the website up-to-date and write blog posts around vendor updates. You follow up and deliver content to the marketing team.
  • You share relevant posts on the social media channels.

You do these tasks together with the marketing and sales team.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • You can explain why your experience adds value in this role.
  • You are innovative and have lots of innovative, creative and sometimes crazy ideas.
  • You are strong and creative with language.
  • You do not need to be a techie, but you are sufficiently well-versed to understand and recognise the strengths compared to competing products.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. You can hold conversations in French.
  • You enjoy sitting around the table with customers and suppliers and are not afraid to talk in front of a group.
  • You can reason strategically and translate your ideas into concrete plans.
  • A development plan is impossible without figures; you enjoy this challenge too.
  • You are prepared to travel abroad a few times a year
