15 Apr Barracuda CloudGen Firewall 8.3: What’s New?
Barracuda has made some important changes with the new firmware version 8.3 after all. It is not about a small tick or bug fix, but a partial new way of thinking.
Where we used to work with forwarding and access rules, we are now moving to policies that are spread across SD-WAN, application, URL filtering, Malware SSL inspection and IPS. This makes the whole thing more manageable and intuitive. It simplifies the configuration of, for example, application – latency based routing or the Forward Error Correction to stability of UDP streaming. With this, the first major steps have been taken in the transition from WANopt to FEC.
It doesn’t stop here! There are many other exciting modifications, you can find them all on Barracuda’s own site! Click on the button below!
